What is Making Friends?
- A free app for adults who want to meet local people they will actually see again. Tell us where you live and what you are into; we introduce you to nearby people with the same interests and help the group make plans again.
Is Making Friends free?
- Yes. It is free, including the public events near you each week. Accounts are invite-only for now: you join through a friend's connect link.
Which cities does it cover?
- San Antonio, TX and Austin, TX. Those are the only two cities you can choose when you sign up.
Do I have to be 18 to join?
- Yes. Making Friends is for adults only. Every account needs a verified 18+ birthday before it can use the app.
How is this different from event apps and dating apps?
- Event apps give you a list and leave you alone. Dating apps make you swipe through people. Making Friends puts you in a group with familiar faces, a shared chat and another plan on the calendar.
I got an invite by text. What do I do?
- Tap the personal link in the text to open your invite and RSVP to that event. You do not need an account to reply to an invite.
